Urinary fluoride

The normal adult body contains 2.6 grams of fluorine. Most of the fluorine absorbed from the intestine is excreted by urine and feces, and about 10% to 48% of the fluorine is stored in the body. Determination of urinary fluoride has specific significance for inorganic fluoride poisoning.
