Crossmatch test
Cross-matching test refers to the blood serum of the recipient plus the red blood cell suspension of the donor; the blood serum of the donor plus the red blood cell suspension of the recipient, and the agglutination test is performed at the same time. The former is called the main test and the latter is called the sub-test. The purpose is to verify whether the donor and recipient ABO blood group identification is correct and to prevent hemolytic transfusion reactions. In addition, irregular lectins of the ABO blood group system can also be detected, and antibodies other than the ABO system can be found.
