Sputum tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is a chronic respiratory infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Patients with tuberculosis in sputum are the focus of treatment. Chemotherapy is an antibacterial (kill bacteria or inhibit bacterial growth) therapy. Therefore, regular inspection of sputum tuberculosis bacteria to observe changes in bacteria is the best indicator of the effectiveness of chemotherapy. If the reduction or disappearance of bacteria after the application of chemotherapy is a sign of good results, the contrary indicates that chemotherapy does not work or treatment fails.
