Carboxyhemoglobin
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless gas with a weak odor. CO is a common asphyxiating chemical poison that seriously endangers human health. It is mainly manifested in the fact that it combines with hemoglobin (Hb) in the blood to form carboxyhemoglobin (COHb), which makes Hb lose its ability to transmit oxygen. In severe CO poisoning, death can result from tissue hypoxia. Therefore, the monitoring of blood COHb concentration is of great significance in health monitoring.
