Sputum culture

Aerobic bacteria culture, anaerobic bacteria culture, Mycobacterium tuberculosis culture, or fungal culture can be performed as needed for the diagnosis of the etiology of respiratory infections. The theoretical basis of sputum culture is that the pathogenic bacteria should be higher than the contaminating bacteria. Based on this, the sputum should be quantitatively cultured and quantitatively cultured. Often performed with drug sensitivity tests.
