MCH

Mean red blood cell hemoglobin content (MCH): refers to the average amount of hemoglobin contained in each red blood cell, in picogram (pg) units, MCH = Hb content / millions of red blood cells, which is used clinically to morphologically classify anemia. The number of red blood cells was counted simultaneously in the same anticoagulant specimen, and the amount of hemoglobin and hematocrit were determined. By summing the three numbers, the average red blood cell hemoglobin content can be further calculated indirectly.
