Carbon 13 urea breath test
The carbon 13 urea breath test is used to check for Helicobacter pylori infection. The principle is to introduce a substrate labeled with stable nuclide 13C into the body (the main method is oral), and use the isotope ratio mass spectrometer to detect the final metabolite of the substrate 13CO2 changes to study metabolic responses and physiological processes in the body.
