Serum glutamate decarboxylase antibody

Anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody (GADA) is a hallmark antibody for type 1 diabetes, and is used for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of progressive or occult type 1 diabetes. In addition, studies have shown that GADA plays an important role in brain development and function, and may be related to certain neurological diseases and GAD-related autoimmune sclerosis syndrome.
