Serum alanine aminotransferase
Alanine aminotransferase (ALT), also known as alanine aminotransferase (GPT), is mainly present in various tissue cells, with the highest content in liver cells. In the acute phase of various hepatitis, drug-toxic hepatocellular necrosis and other diseases, liver cell enzymes are released into the blood in large quantities, which significantly increases serum ALT activity. Therefore, it is an important indicator for the diagnosis of liver diseases such as viral hepatitis and toxic hepatitis .
