Pediatric glycogen storage disease type

Glycogen storage disease (GSD) is a class of disorders of glycogen metabolism caused by congenital enzyme defects. Glycogen storage disease type (GSD-Ⅸ) is a different group of diseases caused by lack of phosphorylase kinase, and is a genetic disease. These include X-linked hereditary liver phosphorylase kinase deficiency, autosomal hereditary liver and muscle phosphorylase kinase deficiency, specific muscle phosphorylase kinase deficiency and cardiac phosphorylase kinase deficiency.
