Cotton seed poisoning
Gossypium contains gossypium pigment glands, mainly gossypol phenol pigments, which can cause damage to nerves, blood, liver, kidney and other organ tissue cells. Mistake of cottonseed, cottonseed cake, large amount or long-term consumption of unrefined cottonseed oil (containing gossypol many times higher than the national standard) can cause gossypolpoisoning, and patients are more common in cotton producing areas.
