Enterocytopathic human orphan virus infection
In the early 1950s, in the process of using the tissue culture to isolate enteroviruses, some strains were isolated from the intestinal tract of healthy humans. They are non-pathogenic to experimental animals and only cause cytopathic changes in tissue culture, which are called enterocytopathic Human orphan virus (enterocytopathic human orphan virus, ECHO virus) is abbreviated as Echo virus. Elcovirus belongs to a subclass of the enterovirus genus Parvoviridae. Its morphological structure and physical and chemical properties are similar to those of polio and coxsackie virus.
