Pediatric vasopressin hypersecretion syndrome
Hypersecretion of vasopressin syndrome (hypersecretion of vasopressin syndrome) is a common abnormality of water and sodium metabolism caused by increased secretion of vasopressin (AVP), which is increased AVP concentration in plasma, decreased blood sodium, and water retention. An abnormally low osmotic pressure, a syndrome caused by intracellular edema. In the past it was called cerebral hyponatremia.
