Ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament of thoracic spine
Posterior longitudinal ligament ossification (OPLL) is not a common disease worldwide, but in some countries in the Far East, it is not uncommon for patients to see a hospital due to paralysis of the posterior longitudinal ligament due to limb paralysis. The incidence of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of the thoracic spine is also very rare in Japan. Sometimes it can be found when performing a spinal radiograph on patients with OPLL in the cervical spine.
