Pediatric arteritis

Takayasu arteritis refers to the chronic progressive non-specific inflammation of the aorta and its main branches and pulmonary arteries. It is mainly caused by stenosis or occlusion in different parts. A small number of patients due to inflammation destroy the middle layer of the arterial wall, which leads to arterial dilatation or aneurysm. The clinical manifestations are different depending on the location of the lesion.
