Fifth day syndrome
Fifth Day Syndrome is also known as Fifth Day Syndrome after Pediatric Appendectomy. The surgical procedure of appendicitis in children is smooth. Abdominal pain and high fever suddenly appear on the 4th to 5th day (a few days to the 8th day) after operation. A few hours later, they develop symptoms similar to diffuse peritonitis.
