Pediatric mold sugarcane poisoning
Mildewed bagasse poisoning is a toxic disease of the central nervous system caused by eating moldy sugar cane. It mostly occurs in the northern region from February to March. As the sugarcane from the south is harvested in November and transported to the north, it is stored in warehouses, cellars and other places for winter. Part of the mildew occurs in the second year of spring sales. The pathogen is Rhizoctonia, which produces toxins that mainly damage the central nervous system.
