Mucopolysaccharidosis type Ⅳ
This type is also known as Morquio syndrome, osteochondral dystrophy, malformed cartilage dystrophy, and atypical rickets. It is characterized by a markedly shorter and shorter trunk deformity, progressive changes in the femoral head and acetabulum, enlarged joints, and loosened muscle ligaments. The disease is an autosomal recessive inheritance that can occur in both sexes, with slightly more men than women.
