Chikungunya fever
Chikungunya virus disease is an acute infectious disease caused by mosquito bites caused by Chikungunya virus. Clinically, it is characterized by fever, rash, bleeding, and severe joint pain. A few patients have persistent joint stiffness. The disease is mainly prevalent in Africa and Southeast Asia, and has caused a large-scale epidemic in the Indian Ocean in recent years.
