Fungal poisoning
Fungi are abundant in the environment and widely distributed. Food, food, feed, etc. are often contaminated. Some of these strains can produce mycotoxins (toxic fungal metabolites of fungi). Many toxins are toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic toxicity. Ingestion can cause acute or chronic mycotoxicosis in humans or livestock.
