Midcranial fossa meningioma
The anterior boundary of the middle cranial fossa is the sphenoid crest, the posterior part is separated from the posterior cranial fossa by the temporal bone rock part, and the center of the fossa is the sphenoid body. In this area, there are important cerebral neural pathways such as supraorbital fissure, round hole and oval hole. If the patient has a prominent eyeball and supraorbital fissure syndrome at an early stage, it indicates that the tumor originates from the medial side of the sphenoid ridge, and usually belongs to the sphenoid ridge meningiomas. Midcranial fossa meningiomas are meningiomas that occur at the base of the midcranial fossa on the medial side of the sphenoid bone. It is usually located in the dura mater and has abnormal blood flow.
