Pulmonary penicillosis
Penicillium is widespread in nature. Some penicillium can produce antibiotics such as penicillin and various enzymes and organic acids, which are widely used. Most of them are contaminating bacteria. A few species can cause penicilliosis and pulmonary penicillosis under certain conditions. Penicillium marneffei, which has received much attention in recent years, has been discussed in another section.
