Fungal granuloma of the brain
Intracranial granuloma is not a new organism, but it is an intracranial mass lesion, which also causes increased intracranial pressure and localized lesions. Therefore, it is not clinically easy to distinguish it from intracranial tumors before CT and MRI examinations. Intracranial granulomas are a group of lesions, most of which are the result of chronic inflammation or various infections. In addition to fungal infections, they also include cerebral tuberculosis bulbs, cerebral syphilis, and various parasitic granulomas, such as cerebral schistosomiasis, Cerebral lung fluke disease, serous protozoa, etc., and sarcoidosis, xanthomatosis, eosinophilic granuloma, etc. Fungal infections are much less common than bacterial infections.
