Uveitis caused by human T lymphocyte type Ⅰ
Human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV) is a retrovirus. Currently there are 3 types, namely HTLV-Ⅰ, HTLV-Ⅱ and HTLV-Ⅲ. HTLV-Ⅰ is associated with adult T-cell leukemia, progressive myelopathy, and uveitis. The uveitis caused by HTLV-Ⅰ is mainly granulomatous intermediate uveitis, panuveitis, iritis, and retinal vasculitis; -Ⅲ is also called human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which mainly causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
