Acute cystitis can develop from asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnant women; however, there are also those who have negative urine culture for the first time. The latter may be short of the woman's urethra, close to the anus, and inattention to the vulva. Related, if there is operation such as catheterization, it is more likely to occur.
