Radial nerve sensor entrapment
Wartenbery first described a case of hand pain caused by the sensory branch of the radial nerve in 1932, also known clinically as Wartenbery syndrome. Others refer to it as hand pain paralysis, prisoner paralysis, and hand-cuff disease. Wartenbery believes that the disease is caused by simple neuritis and neuroinflammatory diseases of the superficial branch of radial nerve. With the progress of related research, people have gradually realized that the entrapment of the superficial branch of radial nerve is the etiology of this disease.
