Retinal pigment epithelitis
The cause of acute pigment epithelitis is unknown. It may be due to viral infection of pigment epithelium. It can also be seen in some systemic diseases. ERG is normal and EOG may be abnormal. Infringes on young adults, and one or both eyes develop simultaneously. It can recover by itself within 1 to 3 months, and the prognosis is good.
