Burst fracture of distal tibia
High-speed longitudinal pressure caused comminuted fractures of the articular surface of the lower tibia and comminuted fractures of the distal tibia, and the fracture fragments burst around. However, the area around it is only surrounded by the skin, which cannot provide space for the bone fragments to move around. The skin must be subject to great tension, forming blisters, and even skin rupture. The tip of the bone fragments can puncture the skin. Although it is an open fracture from the inside to the outside, which is different from an open fracture caused by the injury from the outside to the inside, the risk of infection must not be ignored. In many cases, the distal fibula fractured due to flexion or torsion, and was significantly displaced and the limbs shortened.
