Traumatic internal carotid cavernous sinus fistula
Traumatic internal carotid cavernous sinus fistula refers to the internal carotid artery or its branch located in the cavernous sinus. The trauma ruptures directly communicates with the veins to form arterial and venous fistulas, which are usually caused by fractures of the skull base. The incidence is about 2.5%.
