Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy

Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a rare subacute demyelinating disease, and its pathogen is mostly papovavirus. It is mainly seen in patients with low autoimmune function, which is caused by opportunistic infection. It is easy to see reticuloendothelial system diseases such as Hodgkin's disease, lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and occasionally other patients with visceral cancer, sarcoidosis and patients treated with immunosuppressive drugs.
