Purulent portal phlebitis

Purulent portal phlebitis refers to purulent inflammation of the portal vein trunk and its intrahepatic branches. The disease often coexists with multiple bacterial liver abscesses. The purulent lesions of the donors provided by the branches of the portal vein can cause the disease. Lesions may involve the portal vein trunk or its branches, or the entire intrahepatic portal vein branch.
