Coats disease
External exudative retinopathy (exteRNAl exudative retinopathy) or external hemorrhagic retinopathy (external hemorrhagic retinopathy) is also known as Coats disease, retinal telangiectasis (retinal telangiectasis). Most are seen in male adolescents, few are females, and a few occur in adults. It usually invades the monocular, even bilaterally. The course is slow and progressive. It is not easy to detect at an early stage, and it is not noticed until there is a significant decrease in vision, white pupil, or disused exotropia.
