Hemolytic anemia in the elderly
Hemolytic anemia refers to anemia that occurs when red blood cells are destroyed prematurely and the rate exceeds the ability of the bone marrow to compensate. Hemolytic anemia occurs due to the abnormality of red blood cells itself, which is easy to be destroyed, and hemolysis occurs; or there is no abnormality of red blood cells itself, and a large amount of red blood cells are damaged due to the action of hemolytic factors, which exceeds the compensatory effect of bone marrow hematopoietic function.
