Hairy root sheath cancer
Trichilemmal carcinoma was reported by Headinton in 1976, but its diagnosis has not been recognized by pathologists for many years. A series of recently published reports have identified the disease as a follicular tumor. Metastases can occur and typical skin lesions are usually less than 3 cm.
