Acute cholecystitis
Acute cholecystitis is inflammation caused by obstruction of the gallbladder duct and bacterial infection. About 95% of the patients have gallstones, which is called calculus cholecystitis; 5% of the patients have no stones, which is called noncalculus cholecystitis.
