Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis in children
Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (CLT), also known as autoimmune thyroiditis, is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease that uses autothyroid tissue as an antigen. The incidence has increased rapidly in recent years, and it has been reported that the incidence has been similar to that of hyperthyroidism. This disease is the most common cause of goiter and acquired hypothyroidism in children and adolescents.
