Neonatal erythrocytosis-high viscosity syndrome

Neonatal erythrocytosis-high viscosity syndrome (alias: neonatal hyperviscosity syndrome, neonatal erythrocytosis) is a more common problem in the early neonatal period, often associated with hyperviscosity, causing a series of Clinical symptoms. Its exact etiology, pathophysiology, treatment, and prognosis remain unclear. Neonatal erythrocytosis and high-viscosity syndrome are not synonymous, because they often coexist, they are collectively called neonatal erythrocytosis-high-viscosity syndrome. As blood viscosity increases, it affects the blood flow rate of various organs, leading to hypoxia, acidosis and reduced nutrition supply, which brings a series of symptoms.
