Portal hypertension gastric disease
In 1985, McCormack et al summarized the special endoscopic and histological features of gastric mucosa in patients with liver cirrhosis, and pointed out that the pathological changes of gastric mucosal damage were mainly mucosal and submucosal vasodilation, not inflammatory damage, and named congestive Gastric disease (congestive gastropathy, CG), and later changed to portal hypertensive gastropathy (PHG).
