Blepharospasm-inferior palate dystonia

Blephrospasm-oromanbular dystonia is also known as Meige's syndrome, or Brueghel syndrome. Is a group of unexplained syndromes, mainly manifested by double eyelid spasm, combined with facial dystonia-like involuntary movement. The French scholar Heury Meige (1910) first described a group of cases. The disease is dystonia, and the affected muscle group has paroxysmal tetanic contractions, spasms for several seconds to several minutes, and then expands to other parts. Although electrophysiological and MRI studies have speculated that the disease may be related to the midbrain and basal nucleus, the exact etiology is still unknown. Some people think that certain sedative drugs can also cause this disease.
