Asymptomatic cerebral infarction
Asymptomatic cerebral infarction, also known as silent cerebral infarction, is a special type of cerebral infarction. It is generally believed that older patients have no previous history of cerebral infarction, clinically have no symptoms of neurological infarction, neurological examination has no signs of neurological localization, and brain CT scans and brain MRI examinations have cerebral infarction lesions, which is clinically referred to as asymptomatic cerebral infarction. Some scholars believe that the disease also includes cerebral infarction found at necropsy, whose symptoms may not be recognized, or forgotten by patients, or have only transient ischemic symptoms.
