Vulvar erysipelas
Vulvar erysipelas is caused by acute and chronic inflammation of the superficial lymphatic network of the vulvar skin and mucous membranes caused by group A type B hemolytic streptococcus and occasionally type C or G type streptococcus. Vulvar skin and mucous membranes are damaged, bacterial invasion induces vulvar erysipelas; the disease can also be caused by bloodstream infections. Therefore, the severity of erysipelas is related to the patient's susceptibility and immunity. After the onset, the local skin color of the lesion is bright red, and the boundary with the surrounding healthy tissue is clear. Generally, the suppuration does not occur.
