Bone Lymphangioma

Lymphangioma is a benign tumor composed of newly formed lymphatic vessels. It is more common in soft tissues. It is extremely rare in bone. It accounts for 0.03% of primary bone tumors and 0.06% of benign bone tumors. Lymphatic vessels exist in the periosteum. When there are lymphangioma-like cysts near the bone marrow, abnormally enlarged lymphatic vessels communicating with the cysts can be seen in the bone.
