Congenital defect
ConCongenital Defect of the Diaphragm is more common in pleural and peritoneal hiatus, and parasternal hiatus is extremely rare. The abdominal cavity organs focus on the pleural peritoneum defect through the defect. Bochdalek first reported in 1848 that it was more common in infants and young children, more men than women. The incidence rate is 1/4000 of live babies, 90% on the left side, and the right side is less likely to occur because the right side has liver protection or the fetal stage is closed earlier than the left side.
