Bronchogenic cyst

Bronchogenic cysts are rare. The cause is not yet clear. May be related to embryonic developmental control. During embryonic development, the airway epithelium is separated from the tracheobronchial tree and moves from the bronchial development to other parts. Cysts are usually located under the skin and may drain out of the skin through the sinus tract. Surgical resection is the only method of treatment.
