Benign paroxysmal peritonitis syndrome
Benign Paroxysmal Peritonitis Syndrome is also known as Familial Mediterranean Fever Syndrome, hereditary familial amyloidosis, and Seigal-Cattan-Mamon syndrome. The disease is more common in Mediterranean areas, such as Jews and Arabs in Spain and Portugal. It is more common in adolescents, more in men than women, and it can occur in children but is less common than adults.
