Bullous keratopathy

The state where blisters are formed in the corneal epithelium is called bllous keratopathy. Previously known as bullous keratitis. In fact, it is not an inflammation, but a degeneration. It is the result of abnormalities in the cortical layer, especially the endothelial layer, which causes water to be stored in the epithelial layer.
