Refractory heart failure

Heart failure can usually improve symptoms quickly after proper etiology treatment and conventional anti-heart failure treatment (rest, salt limitation, diuretics, digitalis, ACEI, etc.). When it is progressively worsened, it is called refractory heart failure.
