Empty nose

Iatrogenic atrophic rhinitis, or empty nose syndrome (English: empty nose syndrome), is a nasal cavity syndrome caused by turbinate resection or similar surgery. It is mainly characterized by nasal congestion, nasal cavity and / or nasopharynx, pharynx dryness and other symptoms. Nasal examination can reveal that the patient's nasal cavity is spacious and "tubular". Currently, some researchers believe that excessive turbinate resection can lead to secondary atrophy of the nasal cavity and a series of associated symptoms.
