Neurological manifestations of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), or AIDS, is a unique immune deficiency disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV is a neurotropic virus that can highly selectively invade and localize to the nervous system. Nervous complications often worsen the condition of AIDS and accelerate its death.
