Mucolipid Storage Type III

Mucolipidosis type III is also known as pseudo-Hurler syndrome and pseudo-Hurler multiple malnutrition. As the name suggests, its clinical symptoms are basically the same as Hurler syndrome, but without mucopolysaccharidemia. The disease can cause joint contractures in early childhood, but the disease progresses slowly and can survive to adults. No mental retardation or mild mental retardation, and pathological changes were also mild. Based on these characteristics, it can be distinguished from type 2 of mucolipidosis.
